Oasis? In Winnipeg? Huh?

The Gallagher brothers Liam and Noel will be bringing their band Oasis to the MTS Centre for a September 1st date. Ryan Adams (that's Ryan NOT Bryan) and The Cardinals will be opening for them, which is a pretty awesome opening act. I'm tempted just to go for them.

Didn't Oasis once arrogantly claim they'd be bigger than The Beatles?

For those of us who weren't lucky enough to be around during the Beatles heyday, this is our Beatles. Great band, great lyrics. Enough said.
